In the summer of 2015 the city of The Hague served for three days as an official pit-stop of the Volvo Ocean Race. Worlds toughest sailing tournament made port on the beach of Scheveningen. In cooperation with the municipality of The Hague and the Volvo Ocean Race, I was responsible as head of the volunteer program. In six months’ time over 200 volunteers were selected, trained and placed around the Volvo Ocean Race Festival for several positions including, hospitality, side crew, logistics, information and crowd support. The Volvo Ocean Race Festival was considered on of the biggest events of The Hague with over 150.000 visitors.
Canals filled with jazz, a perfect formula. Since 2015 I am responsible as location manager for Jazz in de gracht in The Hague. My activities include communication with the local bars and cafes, technical production, construction and time management.
